Carolyn Volpe M.S.,BCBA,LBA

Carolyn received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The College of Saint Rose and a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis & Autism from The Sage Colleges. Carolyn became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) 2014 and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in New York State the same year. Carolyn has been working in the field of autism since 2011. She has experience working with individuals from early diagnosis to young adulthood across home, school and clinic settings. Prior to opening Accelerate ABA, Carolyn supervised home and clinic-based services for young children with autism with a focus on increasing critical communication, social, and functional living skills. She also works for The Sage Colleges as a supervisor for students enrolled in the ABA & Autism Master’s Degree program. 

Haley McDougall M.S.,BCBA,LBA

Haley McDougall earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Skidmore College in 2015. Haley went on to pursue her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University. Haley began her work career in Lexington, Massachusetts, providing home-based and clinic-based services to children with autism, down syndrome, Rett syndrome, and other related disorders. In July 2017, Haley passed the National Board exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and later became licensed in both Massachusetts and New York State. Haley has previously worked with children ages 2-12, provided weekly parent consultations, trained behavior technicians, and consulted with medical professionals at Boston Children’s hospital. She also trained school personnel on evidence-based intervention plans. Haley gained exceptional knowledge and experience within the Boston area; however, it has always been her desire to move back to the capital region to share her skills and understanding of behavior analysis.

 

Meggie Diegelman RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Meggie earned her Registered Behavior Technician credential in 2020. Meggie has worked in the field of special education for ten years. She has a degree in Human Services, with a specialization in children and youth studies. Meggie has worked with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities from age of diagnosis through adulthood. She has provided ABA services for children with autism in school, home, and clinic-based settings. Her work has focused on increasing communication, self-help, and play skills.

  

Emily Shultes RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Emily earned her Registered Behavior Technician credential in 2020. Emily has worked in the field of special education for five years. She has studied psychology and has a degree in Human Services. Emily has worked in community, public school and private school settings with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. She has experience implementing individualized education programs (IEP) and ABA programs

Julia Santa Maria RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Julia earned her Registered Behavior Technician credential in 2020. Julia is currently a graduate student at Russell Sage College, studying autism and applied behavior analysis. Upon completion of this degree and supervision, Julia will be eligible to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She has previously worked as a vocational teacher at a school for individuals with autism and assisted with research in the area of autism while completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Desirée Kelvin RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Desirée earned her Registered Behavior Technician credential in 2020. Desirée has a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and is currently a graduate student at Russell Sage College, studying autism and applied behavior analysis. Upon completion of this degree and supervision, Desirée will be eligible to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She has previously worked as a teacher at charter school for children with autism, as well as a teaching assistant in a classroom at an ABA school. She has experience implementing ABA treatment plans and individualized education programs.
